It encompasses a wide range of activities, including planning, control, assurance, and improvement, to prevent defects and ensure quality throughout the production process. The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a key entity in defining and promoting QA practices globally. ISO sets internationally recognized standards that help organizations map and implement effective QA processes.

At Solidbase Laboratory, our commitment to QA is demonstrated by our accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for ISO 17025:2017, which specifies the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. This accreditation ensures that our laboratory operates with a high standard of quality, reliability, and accuracy in our testing procedures. In addition to this, we have recently achieved accreditation for ISO 17020:2012, which pertains to the requirements for the operation of various types of bodies performing inspection. This further underscores our dedication to maintaining rigorous QA processes and delivering reliable inspection services. These accreditations validate our adherence to the highest quality standards, ensuring that our clients receive trustworthy and consistent results.

We have worked on the following projects:

Santa Lucia / Tarxien Roundabout & Underpass

Solidbase successfully managed the upgrading and widening of a road network project, which was completed in 2020. Estimated Value of works was a total cost of 15 Million Euro. Our team executed quality assurance and control tasks throughout the project, ensuring the highest standards. Core testing and analysis were crucial components of our quality control efforts, guaranteeing the road network's durability and safety.

Qrejten Breakwater, Marsaxlokk

Solidbase oversaw Quality Assurance and Quality Control for the Qrejten Breakwater Project in Marsaxlokk. This marine project involved building a deck slab, wave wall, rock armour, and lighthouse. With a full-time quality inspector on site, the project, which started in June 2019, was successfully completed by December 2020. Estimate Value of works was 4 Million Euro.

Footbridge, Blata l-Bajda

Solidbase was entrusted with Quality Assurance and Quality Control roles on this 2 Million Euro EU-funded. The project consisted of casting of piles, precast columns, foundations, and fabrication and erection of the steel structure. The project was started in September 2019 and completed over a 10-month period.
