March 2005 - Initiation of Operations
Upon its inception, Solidbase initiated operations with a modest yet dedicated staff comprising four individuals, laying the foundation for its journey ahead.
December 2005 - Relocation
Solidbase relocated its premises to its present location in Handaq, Hal Qormi.
March 2006 - First Year Anniversary
During its first year of operations, Solidbase navigated challenges, established its presence, and laid the groundwork for future growth.
November 2009 - Purchase of Drilling Machine
Solidbase bought its first drilling machine and conducted its first Geotechnical Investigation.
May 2010 - First Accreditation
Solidbase was accredited to EN ISO/IEC 17025: 2005.
April 2012 - Purchase of Piling Machine
Solidbase acquired its inaugural piling machine, marking the commencement of its first Piling Operations Project.
September 2014 - EU Funded Project
First EU Funded Project whereby an Independent Certifier was mandatory, whereby Solidbase fulfilled this role.
March 2015 - Introduction of ERP
We introduced an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system into our operations for testing purposes.
May 2016 - Extension of ERP for QA
We expanded our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to include features for Quality Assurance Testing, enhancing our capabilities for ensuring product and service quality.
January 2017 - Extension of ERP for Geotechnical
We extended our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to incorporate Geotechnical functionalities, bolstering our capacity for comprehensive geotechnical analysis and management within our operations.
October 2018 - Purchase of Land
Solidbase purchased 6th parcel of land next to laboratory for further extension due to high demand of works and projects.
March 2019 - Reached 50 Employees
Solidbase achieved a significant milestone by reaching a workforce of 50 employees, reflecting its growth and expanding presence in the industry.
February 2020 - Independent Laboratory Certification
A new initiative mandates that all Maltese roads undergo certification by an independent laboratory, ensuring higher standards of quality and safety across the road network.
November 2021 - Preliminary Audit
We conducted a preliminary audit to assess our compliance with the requirements outlined in EN ISO/IEC 17020:2020, laying the groundwork for certification and reaffirming our commitment to quality assurance standards.
January 2023 - Purchase of New Machines
We recently invested in the acquisition of a new piling machine and a specialized machine for concrete chloride ion penetration, augmenting our capabilities and advancing our proficiency in construction and infrastructure projects.
February 2023 - Second Accreditation
Solidbase obtained accreditation to EN ISO/IEC 17020:2020, underscoring our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity in our operations.
March/April 2023 - Purchase of Machinery
Solidbase bought another piling machine, a Soilmec SR45, and a cube crushing machine for the laboratory.
January 2024 - Office Extension
